As summer winds down and fall peeks around the corner, September in Charlotte is the perfect blend of warm days and crisp evenings—ideal for family outings, bonding with your newborn, and exploring the city. Whether you're in your third trimester and nesting, or newly postpartum and looking for a gentle way to get out and about, here are some of our favorite things to do in CLT this September.

1. Stroll Through Freedom Park

Known as Charlotte’s “Central Park,” Freedom Park is a scenic oasis for stroller walks, family picnics, or letting your toddler run free. Bonus: The annual Festival in the Park takes place here Sept 20–22!

2. Visit the Mint Museum Uptown

Looking for a calm, air-conditioned outing? The Mint Museum is stroller-friendly and a great place for quiet inspiration. Plus, their family-friendly programming is perfect for older siblings.

3. Go Apple Picking at Windy Hill Orchard

This local favorite is less than an hour from Charlotte and offers cider tastings, hayrides, and u-pick apples—fun for the whole family and a great photo op with your newborn.

 4. Postpartum Yoga at Khali Yoga

Ease your body back into movement with postpartum yoga. We love Khali Yoga’s inclusive atmosphere and baby-wearing welcome policy.
